Add error proofing to the part process to prevent bad parts from getting into the finished parts bin.
Objective: Add error proofing to part process to improve part quality and reject bad parts before they reach the finished parts bin.
Solution:
Sensor A: An L-shaped self-contained thru beam sensor detects the edge of the strip to assure its correct positioning in the die.
Sensor B: An analog photoelectric sensor makes sure that the desired bend angle is achieved with each hit, each time, every time. If the wrong angle is detected, the part can be flagged for rejection.
Sensor C: An optical window sensor verifies that the finished part is successfully ejected from the die before the next hit. Doing this will prevent die crashes and unplanned downtime, thereby increasing productivity.
