UltraFrame™ Self-contained Thru-Beam Sensors
Balluff C-shaped (BGL) and L-shaped (BWL) self-contained thru-beam sensors reduce your downtime through quick installation and simple setup. Easier to use than traditional fiber optic or seperate emitter-receiver sets, the pre-aligned housing just drops into your machine and you are ready to go. With an adjustment potentiometer for both sensitiviy and light/dark operation, these sensors are ideal for product height differentiation, part counting, and cap height detection applications commonly found on packaging lines.

Full Color Photoelectric Sensors
Balluff full color sensors can be programmed with multiple outputs, each corresponding to the correct color (or colors) of the product being run on the line. The code writer can assign specific inputs (or colors) for each recipe. In turn, the control system will look for the correct color as targets are presented and will automatically reject a “bad” or incorrect color product, while keeping the line running continuously.

Magnetic Rotary Encoder
Balluff’s S2E Rotary encoder is a lower cost, more effective improvement on standard rotary encoder designs. The basic design of the S2E consists of a magnetically-encoded ring and a non-contact sensor head. This assembly installs easily and provides a quadrature output at up to 46,000 counts per revolution. An available mounting hub allows the magnet ring to be adapted to a wide range of applications.
