Balluff’s new Rapid Replacement Module (RRM) cuts equipment downtime and makes change-out of transducer electronics quick and easy by allowing rapid field replacement without removal of the pressure tube from the hydraulic cylinder. During the replacement process, there is no danger from oil spillage and no need for environmental containment procedures. There is also no need to bleed air from the hydraulic system and no danger of dirt entering the open hydraulic port. Finally, there is no danger of repair personnel getting burned by hot oil.

Complete exchange of the sensor electronics module eliminates guesswork and the need to modify any component during the exchange process. Balluff RRMs are dimensionally identical to standard Balluff Z style Micropulse® transducers. Balluff RRMs are also backward-compatible with existing standard Balluff pressure tubes.
