Eliminate Die Crashes with Die Protection
Consistently produce quality parts from dies by embedding sensors into them.

Objective:
Eliminate die crashes and ensure dies produce consistent, quality parts.

Solution:
Sensors can be embedded into the die to automatically monitor feed, verify part ejection, and protect the die from damage caused by slugs and other foreign objects.

Leading metal formers are incorporating analog sensors into dies and stamping processes to measure performance and monitor critical features during production.

Sensor A: Piece-part exiting is monitored by a photoelectric sensor which verifies the part exiting before the next press stroke.

Sensor B: Stripper level is confirmed by inductive proximity sensors.

Sensor C: Strip feed is monitored by an inductive proximity sensor to ensure correct material positioning after the strip advances.
