Standard Inductive Proximity Sensor Solution Maintaining correct product level in a feeder bowl is essential for correct operation. Bowl level detection is often accomplished with the use of a contact arm connected to a mechanical switch. Balluff now offers several more efficient methods for level control in feeder bowl applications. Inductive prox sensor increases reliability and reduces cost. In this system, the contact arm pivots under the inductive sensor’s face. As the contact arm falls, the steel target moves toward the sensor’s face. By adjusting the inductive sensor left or right, the desired switch points can be obtained.
