Multiple inspections on IV bags for quality control using Sharpshooter vision sensor.
Application 1: Verification of Administraion Port Components
Objective:
Determine whether the correct components and position comply to specifications
Solution:
Two inspection tools were used to verify that each cap was present and that the correct caps were put on.
Pass: Caps present, correct caps.
Fail: Caps missing.
Application 2: Print Label Orientation
Objective:
Verify orientation and presence of print.
Solution:
A patter match tool was used on the "er" to determine the presence of the print on the bag and verify the correct orientation.
Pass: Print present and correct orientation
Fail: Print incorrect orientation
Application 3: Embossing/Number Validation & Hanger Hole Punch Cutout
Objective:
Confirm the presence of the IV bag’s hanging hole and numbers
Solution:
A contour match tool was used to verify the presence of the haninging hole while two pattern match tools were used to verify the presence of the numbers. One pattern match locator was used to locate the bag and track its presence. One contour match tool was used to identify the hang hole and its correct location. In addition, two pattern match tools were used to identify the correct numbers on the bag's tail flap.
Application 4: Barcode Recognition
Objective:
To detect the printed barcode.
Solution:
The Sharpshooter was used to verify the barcode and its correct position on the bag.
