Just two inductive sensors are needed to protect your equipment from excessive speed.
Attached to a perforated disc, they determine rotational speed and direction. The second sensor is used as a reference position sensor while the first sensor detects the bolts as they pass by. Balluff offers superior performace and reliability with a full selection of sensors that have been designed and tested with this type of application in mind, with low temperatures and high vibration and stress.
The advantages to you:
- Extremely reliable, fully tested (HALT, EMC, shock, vibration)
- For extreme conditions (temperatures down to -40° C)
- Long service life (lifetime warranty)
- Insensitive to contamination
HALT (High Accelerated LifeTime) Testing:
In an effort to deliver the exceptional reliability that is demanded by the wind industry, Balluff implements testing procedures that go far beyond typical industrial specifications. HALT testing is a "test-to-failure" process that enables Balluff to uncover product weaknesses in the laboratory. Identified weaknesses then become targeted for design improvement. This cycle of test/fail/improve leads to high-end products capable of reliability and life expectancy. Some testing conditions include temperature cycles from -100° C to +200° C within minutes, vibration cycles from 10 to 50 G, and combination of temperature and vibration variations.
