Objective: Determine the presence of the weld seam on a circular sheet metal part.
Solution:Rollers are used to spin the part in front of the camera. The weld seam is used as the reference point for proper orientation. One Position control is used to locate the presence of the weld seam in a specified control region. As the part is rotated on the rollers, the camera detects the presence of the weld seam, which ensures proper orientation for the next process of the manufacturing sequence.
Pass: Weld seam detected - correct orientation
Fail: Weld seam not in region of interest - NOT in correct orientation
