Objective:
Level detection of liquids in a feeding hopper through a sight glass.

Solution:
The Smart Level series of capacitive sensors are suitable for the detection of conductive, viscous media, which causes strong adherence to the 10 mm inner tank wall. Standard capacitive sensors cannot be used here, because these sensors are only suitable for wall thicknesses up to 4 mm and can only compensate for adherence in small degrees.
