Balluff wins Bosch accolade
Neuhausen auf den Fildern: Balluff GmbH, sensor solutions and systems partner to Robert Bosch GmbH, has been presented with the Bosch Global Supplier Award for the second time in a row.
The award ceremony was held on 15th July 2015 in Stuttgart and celebrated the "Power of partnership – connected intelligence". Out of more than 30,000 suppliers, 58 partners from 11 countries received the award – and Balluff GmbH was among the award-winners for the second time.
The Bosch Global Supplier Award 2015 is presented by the Bosch Group in recognition of outstanding performances in the manufacture and supply of products or services – particularly in the areas of quality, costs, logistics and innovations.
"The Bosch Global Supplier Award is intended to give our best suppliers the recognition they deserve for making a significant contribution to our own success at Bosch," explained Dr Volkmar Denner, Chairman of the Board of Management, at the award ceremony in Stuttgart. "Our suppliers are important partners in the creation of a connected world. We want to work alongside them to develop effective solutions for our customers."
Supplier testimonials from Bosch plants around the globe were among the criteria for the award. "For us, Balluff excels with its strong customer focus, which is primarily evident in the work they have done to network our companies both electronically and organisationally," says Lars Nordström, Director of Global Purchasing Maintenance, Repair and Operations at Bosch, of their collaboration. Testimonials also confirmed the strength of Balluff's global networking, thanks to its production, logistics and consulting network, as well as the high level of motivation from the entire key account team.
Florian Hermle, Managing Director of the Balluff Group, is proud. Together with Key Account Manager Alessandro Guerrieri, he accepted the award on behalf of the team.
"Winning the award for the second time in a row demonstrates that we are meeting our own standard of working very closely with our customers. I am particularly proud of the fact that our customer focus has achieved global recognition, because that means we are a global team, capable of fulfilling the high standards required by Bosch around the world – in sales, development and in the supply chain."
Talking about the Internet of Things, the two companies are in agreement when Volkmar Denner says "The importance of competitive, networked supply chains is increasing. It is our mission to achieve supply chain excellence." At the same time, he emphasises the significant contribution that long-term, strong partnerships with suppliers can make to supply chain excellence, and how these partnerships are an essential driving force behind networked solutions.
