Steelface ultrasonic sensors
Filling plants in the food industry are subject to strict hygiene regulations, which means that aggressive products are used to clean them. As a result, the sensors used in this industry must be extremely robust and resistant to chemicals.
With the Steelface ultrasonic sensor, Balluff has developed a corrosion- and temperature-resistant sensor for measuring fill levels and detecting objects that is extremely accurate and has a closed, top-quality stainless steel (AISI 316Ti) housing with an enclosure rating of IP 68/69K. Aggressive cleaning foams cannot damage the housing.
The non-contact sensor performs reliably through mist, steam and dust. Even from a long way away. It is characterised by its long range. In addition, it does not require a counterpart and is therefore easier to install and more flexible than other sensors. Upgrading and assembly are extremely simple. The analogue version requires no adjustment at all! And the switching model is easy to adjust.
