High-resolution linear positioning


The BIP inductive positioning system uses an absolute measuring principle and an excellent resolution of up to 14 µm to easily and reliably monitor clamping distances. Without contact, a linear measurement path of up to 40 mm to a single steel target is reliably detected. The target object can also be a control disk. An inclined surface is therefore superfluous. A high degree of repeat accuracy ensures outstanding process quality. Even in cramped locations and at unrivalled temperatures of up to 85 ºC. Magnetic core technology makes this system insensitive to its installation environment.

A further benefit: easy teaching

The BIP is really easy to integrate into spindles and clamping devices. There is no need for elaborate mechanical adjustments. Simply pressing a button teaches in the sensor directly at the installation location and adapts the required measurement distance perfectly to the application. In the IO-Link variant, this is naturally also possible via the controller.


The main application area of the BIP inductive positioning system is the monitoring of drive spindles and clamping devices. The position sensors are also recommended for many further applications with linear movements in machine construction, such as measuring punching depth, gripper positions, roller settings, valve positions, and more.
