Balluff's MICROmote miniature photoelectric sensors employ external amplifiers to provide multiple functionalities including the ability to easily teach the sensor. This coupled with the wide variety of sensing heads means that specimen tubes are positively detected. These miniature sensor heads can reliably detect tubes regardless of material, transparency, full or empty. With sensing heads as small as 2mm in diameter they can be installed in very tight space limited areas and do not require the large bending radius of conventional fiber optics.
Ensure that processes are not stopped because the carrier stack was depleted with Balluff's leading edge technology sensors. Balluff capacitive sensors and micro-optic MICROmote photoelectric sensors reliably monitor stack heights regardless of material, color, surface, or transparency. Capacitive sensors inherently detect any object regardless of material composition in close proximity. Micro-optic photoelectric sensors with miniature housings can be mounted in space limited areas. The remote amplifiers available for both sensing technologies allow for remote setup, multi-functionality, and visual feedback of what the sensor is seeing.
Differences in slide opacity and color greatly influence sensing reliability for standard sensors and fiber optics. Detecting slides in cassettes or racks is a challenge that Balluff's photoelectric sensors can easily solve. Either Balluff's unique fork sensor for transparent objects or MICROmote miniature photoelectric sensing heads can reliably detect slides from the edge. With Balluff's ability to accurately control the shape and beam angle, light conduction or stray light reflection do not inhibit reliable detection.
