With the help of a high-precision Balluff position measurement system, you can monitor the closing stroke of mold plates in a targeted manner. A precisely-controlled mold closure reduces wear and extends your mold's useful life.
The flat design of our BTL PF profile magnetostrictive linear position sensors, which measure without contact, is perfect for tight installation conditions on the injection molding machine. The floating position magnet provides wear-free operation and enables rapid unit changeovers without the need for mechancial re-alignment.
Balluff inductive distances sensors continuously monitor the tie bar extension during the process. They are insensitive to contamination and provide optimal linearity as well as high repeat accuracy.
Balluff inductive mini sensors are perfectly suited for the optimum alignment of core pulls: These ensure that the core pull is at the required end position. High-pressure resistant versions of the sensors scan the end positions directly in the hydraulic cylinder. If necessary, alternatives that are resistant to high temperatures can also be used.
Perfect closure of the clamping plates requires the correct pressure. Balluff pressure sensors with stainless steel housings enable reliable pressure monitoring of the hydraulic circuit. Equipped with IO-Link, the pressure sensors relay their values directly to the controller to allow for precise closed-loop control.
Is the cavity completely filled with the mold material? Our high-pressure-resistant and temperature-resistant capacitive sensors reliably answer this question. These mechanically robust sensors can be integrated directly into the mold. Polished sensing face prevents material from sticking to the sensor.
