General conditions for returns for examination, maintenance, repair

Step 1

Fill out the return request form online to get a return number.

Step 2

After approval of the return request, Balluff will send you documents to print out.

Step 3

Pack the shipment carefully, enclose the return document with the package, create a return label and post the package at a post office.

Step 4

Once we have received your package and inspected the returned items we will come back to you with more information about the further steps.

Dangerous contamination

In case of contamination, we regret that we cannot accept the product(s). However, we would like to help you solve your problem. Please create a support request with type complaint for this purpose.

1. Requirements

  • The return delivery will be pre-announced by the customer and approved by Balluff.

  • For goods delivered directly, Balluff reserves the right to refuse acceptance.

  • The materials must be packaged appropriately, if necessary, pay attention to ESD-suitable packaging of electronic components.

  • Transport and insurance costs will generally only be reimbursed for goods within the scope of a warranty case, provided that the return delivery of the goods has been announced and approved by Balluff.


2. Exclusions

  • Products older than 8 years (based on the date of manufacture) will generally not be repaired.


3. General conditions

  • In the case of contaminated goods, acceptance will be refused

  • Taking back and returning goods is always subject to reservation and without recognition of legal obligation. The final assessment is at the discretion of Balluff.


4. Costs and expenses

  • For devices without technical damage or without damage for which Balluff is responsible, the associated technical analysis will be invoiced by Balluff according to the current service price list. The device will be returned to the sender; alternatively, we offer environmentally friendly disposal.

  • If the repair or maintenance is not within the scope of the warranty or if the device has damage that is not covered by the warranty, you will receive a written fault diagnosis for the repair or technical analysis of the device as well as an offer for the repair.

  • The repair will only be carried out once you confirm acceptance of the quotation and the repair order to Balluff.

  • In the event you reject the offer, the associated costs of the technical inspection by Balluff will be invoiced according to the currently valid service price list and the device will be returned to the sender.

  • Please note that if we have not received a response from you regarding the transaction within 30 days, we reserve the right to return the goods to you or dispose of them in an environmentally safe manner at our discretion.
