    The solution

    Jet drives are used for high speeds at heavy seas or for maneuverability when traveling slowly. Hydraulic cylinders inside them move the infeed flap and nozzle to adjust to direction and speed. Our BTL magnetostrictive linear position sensors, which are fully integrated into the cylinders, reliably measure these movements, thereby ensuring maneuverability.

Depending on the position, the optimal fin angle is changed to keep the ship as vertical as possible in the water.
