Product family

  • Code-Reader BVS E Identification

    Reliable identification in compact housing

With BVS E Identification code reader from Balluff you can unambiguously identify your products. It reliably reads 1D or 2D codes and stacked codes. It makes no difference whether the codes were adhered with a label, printed on, lasered or directly marked. The BVS E code reader reads all codes up to 40 times per second. Even changing orientation is not a problem; the sensor easily compensates for this.

    Check content

In order to verify that only the correct products were used, BVS E code reader checks the codes for content. In addition, the sensor has a "OCV" function used to verify texts and number sequences, for example, to check expiration dates on a product.

    Assess code quality

To identify products with certainty, a consistent code quality must be ensured throughout the process. The assessment of the code that is needed for this according to ISO-standard is additionally provided by the BVS E code reader.

    Applications

BVS E Identification code readers are used in the identification of components, in the process of tracking packages and in the manufacturing control.

    Features

    • Simple, self-explanatory operation
    • Reliable reading of multiple codes at the same time
    • Easy linking to PLC via RS232 and Ethernet interface
    • Compact housing
    • Different optics available
    • Optionally available with red or infrared light as a built-in light source

BVS E Identification code readers allow you to clearly identify your products. It makes no difference whether you mark your product with 1D codes or 2D codes. Or whether the codes are adhered with a label, printed on, lasered or directly marked.

  • SmartCamera Identification

    Traceability with simple, flexible operation

The simple to use SmartCamera Identification from Balluff offers you all the necessary functions for tracking (traceability).

The SmartCamera reliably identifies objects by code. It reads 1D, 2D and stacked or directly marked codes as well as plain text (OCR - Optical Character Recognition). The results are forwarded via standardized industry interfaces to higher-level systems.

The equipment includes functions for the integrated test preparation and inspection overview and statistics. In addition, you can directly control IO-Link products. The SmartCamera Identification can be quickly integrated into the sequence with its easy, software-assisted operation. In addition, the camera has universal usability with testing plan creation.

    Features

    • Smart data management for limiting the load on Profinet and Ethernet/IP
    • Simple integration in the production environment via IO-Link connection
    • Safe, customer-specific result management for the controller or for the server
    • Robust, industrial-grade design

  • Handheld-Code-Reader BVS HS-P

Industrial grade handhelds with outstanding reading performance

Balluff BVS HS-P handheld code readers read all standard 1D, 2D and stacked barcodes from documents, plastic labels, circuit boards and metal parts. The readers are robust and combine maximum reading performance with great user experience. They offer IP65 protection and can withstand multiple drops on concrete from up to 2 m, making them reliable for use in your industry, logistics and warehousing.

    Mobile operation

The wireless versions are equipped with Bluetooth technology for safe data transmission. This allows users freedom of movement in an environment of up to 100 m around the base station.

    Diverse applications

The handheld code readers have various applications including: control of replenishment process (Kanban systems), manufacturing control, optical tool identification, component tracking, quality control and inventory control (control by Kanban systems).

    Features

    • Reliable read confirmation via acoustic signal, green LEDs and projection of a green LED spot on the code that has been read
    • Intuitive targeting system using a highly visible laser marking frame
    • Charge once – up to 30,000 read cycles using lithium ion rechargeable battery
    • Low weight and an ergonomic shape lessen user fatigue
    • High-density version: Reads high resolution codes (to 2.5 million at 1D) and large areas (up to A4) maximum reader range up to 110 cm

The Balluff VS HS-P handheld code readers read all common 2D, 1D and stacked barcodes fast and reliably. The readers are robust and combine maximum reading performance with great user friendliness.

  • Handheld-Code-Reader BVS HS-Q

Handheld readers for versatile use in the warehouse and in logistics

Balluff BVS HS-Q handheld code readers read all standard 1D, 2D and stacked barcodes as well as postal codes in every rotary position (up to 40° tilt), even while moving. Nor does reading under more difficult conditions – such as displays and a slightly reflective background – present any difficulties. They are ideal for reading codes on documents or code labels and offer exceptional read performance at an economical price. Their maximum read range is 40 cm.

    Intuitive operation

The reader can be operated directly: Simply aim it at the code and trigger the reader. As soon as the code has been successfully captured, this is indicated by an acoustic signal, a green LED on the reader and an LED spot which is projected onto the read code. The ergonomic shape and maximum 200 g weight eliminate fatigue and are easy on the user's hands.

    Diverse applications

Balluff BVS HS-Q handheld code readers can be used in many areas including: in-house logistics, storage space assignment in the area for small partsl, commissioning, and document management.
