I/O blocks from Balluff connect binary and analog sensors and actuators to the control level via a bus. The number of lines is substantially reduced by the use of the blocks.

Moreover, I/O blocks offer additional functions for signal preprocessing and expanded diagnostic options. Different designs and connection techniques enable solutions for a wide variety of applications, even under the most extreme environmental conditions.

    Optimum for use in a harsh environment – with unique diagnostic level

    Our series BNI IO-Link sensor/actuator hubs with their rugged housing are ideal for use in harsh industrial environments. The I/O blocks are based on M12 or M8 plug connections and are easy and economical to install and maintain.

    The port-specific single-channel monitoring detects short circuit and overload as well as a cable break at the port. This degree of selective diagnosis is unique amongst I/O blocks.

    Our variant BNI IOL-302…offers the highest functionality with the best flexibility. It combines two blocks into one. Its maximum sensor load current of 500 mA is ideal for operating sensors with high current consumption. If configured as an output, up to 2 A is available at the port.

    You can use the advantages of IO-Link with our IO-Link valve interfaces as well. This is because decentrally installed valve terminals and the control level can easily be connected using these components.

    Using our universal IO-Link interfaces any device with up to 16 in- and outputs is open to IO-Link. Use the IO-Link interface to connect pumps, signal lights, control panels, valve terminals, switching units, transfer units etc. to the control level.

    The module offers the fast IO-Link connection through the standard sensor cable and an open-ended cable. You can integrate up to 16 in/outputs into the controller environment.
