With two different measuring principles and different angular ranges, the inclination sensors from Balluff are suitable for numerous industries and applications. With them, you have the choice between inclination sensors with one or two measuring axes.
BSI inclination sensors with one measuring axis offer you measurements along one axis over a full 360°. They reliably monitor rotational movements and enable continuous tracking. This makes these sensors perfect for optimum process control.
The monaxial machines are available with two different measuring principles: Fluid-based inclination sensors, if you need high accuracy over the entire measurement and temperature range. And MEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical Systems)-based inclination sensors for applications that require more flexibility.
Our biaxial BSI inclination sensors are MEMS-based (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems). They have compact chips with microelectromechanical structures that move with the inclination according to gravity. Evaluation takes place via a capacitive measuring principle.
Using just one sensor, you can therefore monitor the position of machine components along two axes, with the large number of different measurement ranges ensuring optimum precision for each task.
