Simple position detection and need-oriented speed measurement
Balluff binary sensors using a wide variety of technologies reliably guarantee simple position detection. They are powerful and universally applicable. In applications where each gram of weight savings means an improvement in energy efficiency, mini-series deliver convincing performance – especially with little space.
Speeds are measured all over in the area of machinery and plant engineering. Differing applications place differing demands on the sensors that measure speed. Balluff always offers you the right sensors for your needs: BML magnetic encoders are ideal if you work with high speeds or need to determine speeds with particular accuracy. Inductive standard sensors are suited for efficient solutions for simple inquiries.
The extended temperature range of the inductive BES standard sensors ensures operation free of interference: They measure shaft speeds in the plant construction at temperatures down to –40 °C. Two sensors are sufficient for measuring the speed, detecting the direction of rotation and reliably protecting the equipment from overspeed.
BML S1F magnetic encoders precisely and reliably measure the speeds of the drive shaft directly on the motor. Their narrow form factor allows the existing motor design to remain compact.
Our BML magnetic encoders detect both the direction of rotation and the correct shaft position using reference points. They are extremely accurate at all rotational speeds.
Thanks to their compact design, our high-performance inductive mini sensors can also be integrated in places where there previously has not been any room for sensors. In linear units, you will reliably detect end-of-travel and reference positions.
Inductive mini sensors are ideally suited for end position detection in spindle drives. Their flat, rectangular form factor fits in any design.
