Last Friday, March 2, the first edition of the Student Automation Expo was held, organized by the UNAQ (University of Aeronautics of Querétaro), the Cecyteq (School of Scientific and Technological Studies of the State of Querétaro) and Balluff, the company of German origin dedicated to industrial automation, being the headquarters of the imposing facilities of the UNAQ.
The main objective of this event was that of, for the first time in Querétaro, it generates an approach of students with leading automation companies in Mexico, with a focus on Industry 4.0, through:
The companies that participated with demonstrative stand and technological equipment were: SMC, Schunk, Kuka, Eplan, Wago, Outhelping, NCTech, Kuka, Erat, Mitsubishi and Balluff.
It was attended by around 1,000 engineering students from schools: Cecyte Querétaro, UNAQ, UPQ, UTEQ, UPSJR, UCO, Conalep Aeronautico, CIFATA, CICATA, CIDETEQ, ITSJR, UTC, CBTIS, CECATI, among others.
As part of the inaugural protocol ceremony, Jorge Gutiérrez de Velasco Rodríguez, Rector of the UNAQ, Dr. Luis Fernando Pantoja Amaro, General Director of CECYTE Querétaro and Mr. Antonio Mendoza, General Director of Balluff, addressed motivating words to the more than 300 students gathered, where Later, the ribbon cutting was done and a tour by the authorities through the exhibition area, which started the event that lasted a full day.
