Our compact and multiple redundant BTL 7 magnetostrictive linear position sensor provides two or three completely separate systems in the same housing. For high efficiency, all troughs in the parabolic trough power plant have to be continuously adjusted to follow the sun's path and be focused exactly on the receiver tubes. Our BML magnetic encoders are located right on the rotating shaft and allow for precise position detection.
With the help of our BTL magnetostrictive linear position sensors, you can flexibly adjust the guide and rotor blades of Kaplan turbines. A BTL profile controls the exact position of the guide blades depending on how much water is to flow into the turbine. In addition to this, our BTL magnetostrictive linear position sensors are integrated into the shaft to adjust the blades of the impeller to the various flow volumes.
Our BTL magnetostrictive linear position sensors were designed specifically for use in the hydraulic cylinders of wind power plants. The rotor blade angles are adapted to the wind speed using the pitch adjustment. In this way, they maximize power generation and guarantee maximum plant safety without contact.
