You can choose between contact-free or with contact. Balluff sensor technology can also be used to measure the fill levels of liquid, paste-like and granular media through tank walls. Our sensors also satisfy the strict regulations of the food and pharmaceutical industries as well as medical technology.
For the detection of fluids, the level control is directly integrated into pipetting robots. Our BOH MICROmote sensors save space, and impress with their high accuracy.
The blood level in an oxygenator is monitored in two stages using a reference and minimum value. Our BCS capacitive sensor indicates when the blood level drops below the minimum value. It is attached using adhesive tape that has been applied to the blood reservoir. This allows it to be reused multiple times. It's position can be selected freely. Deposits are disregarded thanks to smart level technology. This makes it so that the actual blood level is monitored and the doctor can keep it at the right level.
Optimum fill levels should always prevail in the expansion tanks of the cooling system and of the gearbox and hydraulic system. Our BCS capacitive sensors detect the maximum and minimum fill levels without direct contact – through the container wall or with the help of adapters. They are installed in the oil pan as a leak sensor and reliably report an oil loss there.

This makes them perfect for controlling the stack heights on conveyor belts as well as levels in silos. Unaffected by the harsh conditions in a steel plant, they detect objects made of many different materials and ensure you of reliable blast furnace charges even around the dust and dirt from burden material and coke.
You can also prevent overflow of tanks with aggressive chemical contents or too low a level by monitoring levels with the help of by-pass tubes. Install our compact capacitive sensors on the by-pass tube using cable ties. This is simple and inexpensive. To compensate for foam and build-up there are high-end versions for you which reliably detect highly conductive media such as lyes.
When the container wall won’t allow detection from the outside, our capacitive sensors in the PTFE housing are the right choice. These detect the level of highly conductive media such as acids and bases directly in the process fluid. This means for example that etching or application of a resist, developing after lithography, or chemical-mechanical polishing and cleaning of the wafer can begin as planned.
