The highly accurate and dynamic BML position measuring systems from Balluff ensure high energy efficiency and drive quality. The real-time capable measuring systems provide you with optimal position feedback at the highest energy efficiency for the best feedback quality – even in high-dynamic applications with traverse speeds of 10 m/s. The resolution of 1 µm means accuracy classes of up to ± 7 µm can be achieved.
For position feedback with gearless linear direct drives you need absolute, high-accuracy multi-slide-capable linear measuring systems. The BML-G multi-slide-capable absolute system offers you the optimal feedback solution. By simultaneously measuring the position of multiple slides on one stator system, costs are reduced. The generous distance between sensor and magnetic tape simplifies installation and increases operating reliability.
Our magnetic encoder systems handle the high clock frequencies and accelerations of the especially maintenance-friendly linear drive for short strokes with no difficulty.
Since there is no cable between the stationary part and the easy to move slide of the linear drive, no drag chain is needed. The magnetic tape can be installed on the lower part of the slide and the sensor head on the base plate. The sensor head now reads the current slide position absolutely and without contact. Its very precise measurement signal ensures high control quality.
