Control slack with photoelectric sensors
To make the supply of material layers continuous, there is usually some slack between the conveyor belts of the tire building machine. This compensates for the time offset between continuous feed and stepped processing stages. Photoelectric distance sensors continuously monitor this slack. They ensure that the slack isn’t less than a predetermined minimum or long enough to touch the floor, which would create a delay in the tire building process. The tire’s black material layers are highly light-absorbing, but this does not present a challenge for our optical sensors. They are also simple and intuitive to operate with their display and setting buttons.
Guarantee precise positioning using magnetic encoders
Our magnetic encoders provide correct positioning of the slides used in tire building. Thanks to their compact design, you can easily integrate this measurement system into very tight spaces. They are non-contacting and therefore wear-free, which gives them a long service life and requires no downtime for maintenance.
Heat presses: Ensure the highest quality
The green tire arrives at the heat press for vulcanizing, where it is given its final shape and profile. Pressures up to 22 bar and temperatures from 165 to 200 degrees Celsius are typical. Close heating presses safely with data from linear position sensors
When green tires are vulcanized, the closing movement of the heating press needs to be monitored. Our magnetostrictive linear position sensors confirm the press is tightly closed so the green tire can be vulcanized as the process demands. Their non-contact measurement technology ensures high repeat accuracy and helps you achieve consistent tire quality, even under in processes involving high temperatures and strong vibration.

You can identify tires marked with barcodes by using our handheld code reader. These industrial-grade devices read all common 1D, 2D and stacked barcodes and are simple and intuitive to use thanks to their laser marking frames and audible read confirmation.
