    The solution

    Tools are typically clamped via conical geometries. With three BES inductive sensors, three states can be queried free of contact and thus free of wear: Unclamped, clamped without tool and clamped with tool.

    This form of clamping distance monitoring is especially suitable for larger strokes because the sensors are installed at a defined distance from each other.
