Balluff's co-op training in the manufacturing automation industry provides for your future professional success. We are looking for self-starters with a motivation and willingness to learn. Electrical aptitude is helpful and strong communication skills are required.

The goal of our Cooperative Applied Skills Education (CASE) program is to work with active students during their college education to gain real world work experience in a practical and applied environment. In addition, the CASE program is designed to ready the students to take on full time roles in the Balluff organization or across the automation industry. In joining this program, the student learns how to become a team player, learns about the manufacturing industry, and becomes a contributing member in a fun and relaxed corporate environment.

Typical Programs & Positions in Product Marketing

  • Technical Displays – Demo design, demo construction and technical product support.
  • Marketing Support – Research, industry studies, events, demos, webexes, project planning, desktop publishing.
  • Product Customizing – Prototyping, circuit design, new product development, Lab View programming.

Additional Programs & Positions in Support Roles

  • Technical Customer Support – Email, phone, and application support. Build in-depth product knowledge.
  • Quality Management – Incoming inspection, quality reports, and testing.
  • Information Services – IT, computer science, databases, data analysis, Ethernet infrastructure, PC support.

    What's next for you after school?

    Which job suits me and my interests? A student internship at Balluff will help you answer these questions. Get to know everyday professional life at a leading, medium-sized company. You will see: Impressions from the field will help you with your career choice. We offer you the opportunity for a one-week internship for career orientation at Balluff. As 8th and 9th graders you will take the first steps into professional life during these familiarization days. We make it possible for 10th grade high school students to actively take part in working and business life in the context of career and study orientation. Of course, you can also complete a voluntary internship with us. We have recognized the importance of youth development and would like to do everything we can to allow students a successful start in their careers.

  • Girls’ Day

    We would like to get girls and young women excited about technical careers

    On Girls’ Day we offer girls ages 11 to 16 the opportunity to find out more about the working world and technical careers. During company tours they will get a taste of the different job profiles, even the ones that are not "typically female".

  • "Introductory Training for Young People" (EQJ)

    Have you already finished school but not found an apprenticeship?

    Then the "Introductory Training for Young People" (EQJ) might be the opportunity you are looking for. The EQJ is a professional long-term internship and is meant to serve as a bridge to training. To prepare graduates for training, we offer them this internship, which lasts several months (six to twelve months). Take advantage of the EQJ, the "Introductory Training for Young People", to increase your chance of getting a training opportunity.
