Value is added to steel before it leaves the plant. It is rolled as plate, sheet, wire, rail, beam, bar, or tube. Each product requires some degree of surface refinement. The production quality of these final steps is directly reflected in the quality of the finished product. For some products, even the smallest errors are intolerable and must be eliminated from the process.
