Our low-frequency RFID system (BIS L) is suitable for applications which involve simple "license plate" identification.
The 125-kHz system is capable of reading data up to 100 mm and performs well in an environment of liquid and metal.
The BIS V processor is a combination of low frequency, high frequency, and ultra-high frequency RFID with flexible I/O on one controller. The BIS V can accept read heads from the C, M, L, and U series. A unique advantage of using the V is the ability to drop up to 16 points of I/O out of the IO-Link master port located on-board. Also, The V can connect to any major control network.
Also available in multi-port options are the standard BIS L processors.
Data couplers from Balluff ensure a maximum degree of flexibility. They securely transmit the data via non-contact bridging of the two transitions instead of a fixed data transmission essentially acting as an extension cord that transmits data. The data couplers are generally used where a double mechanical interface is used, for example, with rotary tables, replaceable workpiece holder or gripper arms.
BIS L tags are economical and reliable. Tags are available as read-only or as read write depending on what the application requires.
Ideal for rework lanes and quality control areas where a fixed mount reader will not extend to. Read, write, and transfer data just like the mounted readers. These handheld devices are also expandable with 1D or 2D barcode readers.
