Fachgerechter Sensoreinsatz
Fachgerechter Sensoreinsatz

The Sensing Technologies Course will enable someone to use the correct discrete or linear measurement sensor for a given application. This course also introduces IO-Link technology and demonstrates how sensors tie into the IO-Link architecture.

Structure of the Course

The Sensing Technologies course uses a hands-on approach. Each pair of participants will share a sensor demo which contains inductive, capacitive, ultrasonic, photoelectric, and magnetic linear sensors. It also has a SmartLight, an IO-Link block and a controller.

Course Content

  • Overview of sensor families and operating technology
  • Selecting the correct sensor
  • Connecting sensors
  • Installing a sensor
  • Troubleshooting a sensor
  • IO-Link overview
