Identification of multiple objects in conveyor systems - using UHF tunnel applications (range up to 1m)
Tunnel application with 1m range
In intralogistics, a large number of objects and components move on conveyor belts. Goods are shipped in transport boxes from one production area to the next. In order to report information about the correct material as well as the location and time of capture directly to the leading IT system, the identification of the components is necessary.
The RFID tunnel system, which was developed for robust, industrial automation, enables a large number of objects to be identified quickly - individually or in batches. For this purpose, all goods carry a transponder that can be read when passing through the tunnel in the detection range of the RFID antennas. This arrangement of RFID components is particularly suitable for the detection of many data carriers in a detection range of up to one meter. The high-performance UHF evaluation units provide the appropriate functionalities for this application. Up to four passive antennas can be connected to the evaluation unit, which are mounted in the form of a tunnel above the transport system. The suitable antennas are available in different sizes.
- Ranges of up to 1 meter
- High Performance Evaluation Unit BIS U-61xx for use with up to 4 medium-sized passive antennas
- Acquisition of many data carriers in one process
- Central data storage in the higher-level IT system
