Personal identification for the assignment of access rights and access authorizations
Access & Access Control
Access control for plants and machines is mandatory for companies from a safety and economic point of view. Incorrect operation or manipulation are time-consuming and costly. Not to speak of quality losses and missing legal conformity.
Industrial RFID systems enable controlled and tamper-proof access. The assignment of individual authorizations for areas and machines determines the access options for individual applications. These authorizations are stored in the system so that each role has its own user interface. At the same time, RFID offers a great deal of flexibility. This is because user roles can be changed quickly and easily. And if necessary, they can be blocked within seconds to prevent unauthorized persons from causing damage.
With RFID, access to defined areas and machines is also only available to the selected group of people. In addition, access control with RFID makes it possible to view operator working hours and also to ensure regular maintenance through the traceability of all operations.
For access control at a machine, for example, a read/write head is placed at the operator terminal. The user is authenticated via key data carriers or a label on his company ID card, which contain the legitimization including the authorization depth.
- Data carriers in the form of key fobs, cards or as labels to be affixed to company ID cards
- read/write head with standard/PC interface for easy connection to machine terminals
- various security mechanisms, e.g. standardized ISO 15693 with write or password protection, and ISO 14443 with manufacturer-specific identifier
