Setting Static IP on BNI CIP via Molex

1. Primery Scan
BNI CIP IP Address setup
- Once the module is out of the box, put the Rotary to 0 0 0 and reboot. [If not out of the box, reset the module using the manual they provided]
- Use BootP to assign an IP address. Then close it.


2. Running Molex
- Open Molex and click on ‘Send List Identity Request on UDP’. It will list the device with IP address.

3. Setting Static IP Address
4, Select the device and click on 0xF5 TCP/IP.
- Click on ‘Get_Attribute_All’ at the top.
- Now change the ‘Configuration Control (attr 30)’ to ‘Stored Value’ from ‘DHCP’.
- Click on ‘Set_Attribute’ Under it.
- The status should change to Ok in green.
- Now under ‘Interface Configuration (attr 5)’, set to desired IP and click ‘Set_Attribute’.
- The status should change to Ok in green

4. IP Scan
- The device is good to go. Also do a reboot and try to ping the device. If you use Molex, you can see the Configuration control stays in Stored Value.

Use Balluff SNCT Software to reset if repeated scan failures.
