Commissioning an IO-Link BTL on an ET 200SP card
1. Hardware configuration
In this example, a CPU 300 with an ET 200SP card (6ES7137-6BD00-0BA0) was used to commission the Siemens IO-Link card.

1.1. ET 200SP
The IO-Link card is plugged into the first slot and has the address range 0-31 (32 bytes)

2. Example BTL IO-Link COM2 with 4Byte
A BTL PF with COM2 interface and 4-byte input data was configured and used via the homepage:

3. IODD´s
The corresponding IODDs can be downloaded via the download link:

To get a better overview in the PCT tool, only the IODD that is required for the BTL is selected (incl. images) and installed:

4. Siemens PCT tool
Right-click on the IO-Link card to start the PCT tool:

The folder in which the IODD was stored must now be selected:

Click on "Import" to install the IODD:

4.1. Selection of the correct IODD (process data profile)
Attention:
As the process data size of the BTL can be switched (parameter), the correct product key must be used for the IODD import.

In this case, the type code for COM2 with 4 bytes of process data must be used:

5. Transfer to the IO-Link card
The IODD with the set parameters is transferred to the IO-Link card via the usual "Download button":

After exiting, the changes are transferred to the PLC:

6. Operation
If the PLC is now set to online mode, all participants should appear "green":

The values of the BTL are displayed in the first 4 bytes (input 0...3):
