Balluff is a medium-sized company. Family-run for four generations, it was founded in Neuhausen on the Filder near Stuttgart and has grown into a world-oriented, leading global player. It is a sensor and automation specialist with tradition and customer relationships established over years, which acts simultaneously as an important partner in innovations and as a pacesetter for its customers.
Our company opened up to the global market very early on. For example, in the early 1980s, Balluff began to continuously expand its production and sales network. Today, Balluff is no longer just at home in Neuhausen, but also has a presence in Europe, Asia, North and South America, and in all other important markets. We have a presence in 68 countries worldwide. This is so we can understand and assist our customers better and be able to provide them exactly what they need: high-quality sensor, identification and image processing solutions including network technology and software for all automation requirements.
As a future-oriented company, we not only focus on the traditional areas of automation but are also dedicated to developing holistic applications for an increasingly digital and connected world. When it comes to quality, we have our own particular ideas. We call it Balluff Quality – a higher standard which goes beyond applicable official standards, not only in production but also in consulting and services.

The customer is at the center of our strategic orientation. Balluff concentrates on meeting the specific demands of the respective industry sectors quickly and in a targeted manner. This clear focus is reflected in the seven business units of our organizational structure. Three of these incorporate all the solutions for the main industries – Mobility, Packaging, Food & Beverage and Machine & Plant Engineering. The remaining four are Marketing & Sales, Technology, Supply Chain and Services, Finance & Quality.
