Capturing linear positions of the patient table
Computed tomography (CT) can be used to generate cross-sectional images that allow the body and many pathological changes to be assessed. The magnetic tape displacement encoder reliably detects the position of the treatment table relative to the CT tunnel. For end position control, BES inductive sensors are a practical addition.
