HUNGARY

Veszprém and Csetény

R&D, production, intralogistics | around 1100 employees

The Balluff site in Veszprém in western Hungary, an hour and a half's drive southwest of Budapest, is the largest series production site alongside the two plants in Chengdu (China) and Aguascalientes (Mexico).

Founded in 1989, Balluff-Elektronika Kft. was one of the first German companies in Hungary and has grown continuously ever since. Today, with around 1100 employees, it is the fourth-largest employer in the region and manufactures more than 4.2 million sensors, identification solutions, components for industrial communication and network technology, and other products per year in Veszprém and Csetény. From prototypes and pilot series to small and large series production, Balluff-Elektronika Kft. covers the entire production spectrum. Since 2023, a state-of-the-art AutoStore warehouse and picking system has ensured optimal production supply and distribution to regional Balluff distribution centers. In addition, Veszprém is Balluff's second largest development base after its headquarters in Germany. In addition, the location is part of Balluff's global purchasing, IT and quality management network.

Balluff is regarded as an attractive employer in the region that sometimes takes unconventional paths for its employees: By choosing Csetény, 40 kilometers north of Veszprém, for a second production site, we brought jobs and long-term career prospects to where our employees live with their families.

Budapest

F&E | about 10 employees

With a development office for software and electronics in the SPACES Corvin Towers in the center of Budapest, we have been strengthening our development team since 2022. DevOps engineers, E-CAD layouters, software and firmware developers work closely with R&D colleagues in Veszprém and benefit from local proximity and long-standing relationships with Budapest's universities and their technical faculties.
