Setup Email Notifications with Gmail

1. Conect LAN2 Port on the CMTK to your router
   • 
2. Go to the "Netwrok Settings tab and set the LAN2 port as a DHCP client and press save.
   • 
3. If wired and configured properly, the IP address information should be poplulated and you should be able to use the Ping Server to successfully ping the balluff.com URL.
   • 
4. You should be able to use the "Ping Server" function to successfully ping balluff.com
   • 

1. Log into your Gmail account
2. Go to Account Settings
3. Go to the "Security" tab
   • 
4. Turn on 2-Step Verification
   • 
   • 
5. Input "App Passwords" into the search bar and select "App Passwords Security"
   
   •  
6. Input a name for the app password and click "Create" 
   • 
7. A password will be generated.  This will be used in the CMTK settings as the password.
   • 

1. Input Gmail information 
   1. Select the "Settings" tab
   2. Select the "Email" tab
   3. Turn on "SMTP active".  Leave the "Skip SSL Verification" off.
   4. Input the Gmail SMTP Server
      • smtp.gmail.com
   5. Input the Username
      • Your Gmail account ([email protected])
   6. Input the From Address
      • Your Gmail account ([email protected])
   7. Input the Port number
   8. Input your password.
      • This will be the "Generated app password" that was created after turning on two factor authentication in you Gmail account.
   9. Input the Receiver.  You can enter multiple addresses using a ";" seperator
      
      • Some organizations block the notification emails or have a long delay due to screening.

 B.  Send a Test Email

1. 1. Select "Send Test-email"
      • 
   2. If configured properly and the CMTK has access to the internet, you should get confirmation that "The Test email was sent successfully"
