Balluff at SPS 2022 – A review

Three years off, three days of action and it's already over - SPS 2022 in Nuremberg. The Balluff trade fair team sums up the event and presents their highlights.

Review: Balluff at SPS 2022

Finally SPS again

On November 08, the time had come: After a pandemic break of three years, the SPS in Nuremberg opened its doors again. On 112,000 square meters of exhibition space, industry and automation enthusiasts from all over the world were able to get into conversation, marvel at innovations and gather new impressions.

Right at the forefront: Balluff with its new exhibition stand. This year, everything revolved around industrial network technology. Visitors were given concrete insights into IIoT-capable hardware and software, the Smart Automation and Monitoring System and innovative applications in industrial image processing.

Personal exchange on exciting innovations

In the dedicated lounge area with catering, guests were not only able to relax from the hectic day-to-day at the trade fair and talk to the team, but also experience one of the Balluff solutions up close: The fully automatic coffee machine not only provided coffee enjoyment during the talks, but also became a real use case thanks to a built-in condition monitoring sensor and machine learning - in keeping with the SPS motto: Bringing Automation to Life.

Alexander Schmidt, Business Strategy Manager at Balluff, explains: "In order to show visitors concretely how our networked solutions work together, we visualize the data of the exhibits via a central dashboard". The result: In the central dashboard, visitors could select the respective exhibit in an overview and access a multitude of recorded data. Espresso, for example, was the most ordered beverage for visitors to the Balluff booth.

Numerous other exhibits such as the Condition Monitoring Toolkit (CMTK) and the Balluff Engineering Tool (BET) invited visitors to experiment - always with expert advice from the Balluff team on site, of course.

The Balluff trade fair team would like to thank you for three exciting days, your great interest and the inspiring discussions. For all those who cannot wait until 2023, it is worth taking a look at our aftermovie.

Numerous innovations, new impressions and exciting discussions: That was SPS 2022.
