When coating and drying electrode materials in battery production, precise visualization and fast response times are important to ensure stable production conditions. Coating machines need to keep an eye on various parameters such as the speed of the coating application, the viscosity of the slurry and the temperature in the drying section at all times.
The BNI SmartLight LED signal towers from Balluff offer flexible visualization of these parameters and make deviations visible at a glance. Various display modes and a customizable color spectrum enable an intuitive display, e.g. for the status "Coating in progress", "Drying completed" or in the event of a warning due to lack of material. This allows the operating personnel to react immediately to changes and initiate the necessary measures without interrupting the process. Optional acoustic signals increase safety and enable rapid intervention if necessary.
