The Balluff short-range reader BIS VU-320 with a typical read range of 1 m is perfectly suited for this purpose. This compact read/write head is extremely versatile. The robust reader can read up to 50 data carriers simultaneously, regardless of the application. Thanks to the integrated PowerScan function, automatic adaptation to the UHF data carrier to be detected takes place at the push of an auto-setup button - without the need for time-consuming manual setting of parameters. This enables automated acquisition of parts-related product, production and quality information even in dynamic applications. In addition, the compact reader takes advantage of the BIS V platform because it is connected to the BIS V evaluation unit via a standard connection cable, which can be located up to 50 m away from the read/write head.
