How to set BAE0119 easily?
Do you need to set up the BAE0019 amplifier and don't know how to do it? Are you lost in the parameters and don't know which one is important for setting?
For basic setup of a simple application with detection of the presence of an object (IS/NOT), the following 3 steps are all you need...
Step 1: Setting the Hysteresis
Select the parameter ADJUST-->Adj.SSC1-->Hysteresis (ADJ-SC1-HYS) and change the value to 3%. The default value is 12%.
Step 2: Setting the Amplification
Check displayed signal values on BAE0119. The value MUST be lower than 4000 in both cases.
If the signal value 2 does not reach at least 250, it is necessary to bring the BOH head closer to the object - reduce a detection distance.
If one of the signal values is 4000 or close to it, the amplification needs to be reduced.
Select the parameter TEACH-->Manual-->Amplific. (TEA-MAN-AMP) and decrease the value of amplification until the maximum signal value is less than 4000. The default amplification value is 255, the minimum possible is 6.
Step 3: Setting the Switching point
Check displayed signal values on BAE0119 after seting the amplification.
Write down the signal value 1 (SV1) and the signal value 2 (SV2).
Calculate the Set point value according to the formula SP1=(SV1+SV2)/2
For example: SP1=(1200+3400)/2=2300
Select the parameter TEACH-->Manual-->SSC1-SP1 (TEA-MAN-SC1) and set the calculated value. The default gain value is 500.
All other parameters can remain at the factory default settings.
