In cell production, storage and retrieval machines are an important element for an optimized flow of goods, increased delivery capability and maximum availability. To meet these requirements, robots are used to precisely grip and position the battery cells. Our magnetically coded BML position measuring system enables precise positioning in highly dynamic applications such as those required in battery cell production and storage. The system uses magnetically coded tapes to determine position, which are particularly low-wear and therefore durable due to their non-contact mode of operation.
