Optical measuring systems have a decisive advantage when compared to tactile measurement: they record data very quickly and also without physical contact. The success of such measurements depends to a large extent on the camera used in the measuring system. The camera not only needs a high-resolution sensor to be able to capture and measure fine details in the surface of the car body, but should also be as easy as possible to integrate into the system environment.
