Conversion of BES Standard electronics
Reason for Change
Due to the discontinuation of an internal component, it had to be replaced in order to remain available for delivery.
- To avoid bottlenecks, this replacement is being carried out at short notice, requiring a few adjustments to the electronics.
- In the medium term, the affected products will be revised again with further adjustments.
Description of the Change
Conversion and adaptation of internal electronics. The change will not be visible externally, and order codes will remain the same to simplify the transition for customers.
Customer Impact and Recommended Actions
In general, no negative impact on customer applications is expected, as essential features such as mechanical dimensions, switching distance, and temperature range remain the same.
Changes occur in the switching frequency, which is reduced from 2,500 Hz to 2,200 Hz. If problems arise, this can be remedied by increasing the distance to the target.
The current consumption of the affected sensors will also increase from the current 3.5 mA to 10 mA.
Conversion Plan
The changes will take effect from the production date of calendar week 45/2025. The sensors will be delivered from calendar week 02/2026.
