BIS Controller, temporary delivery stop due to RED compliance investigation
Reason for Change
0226-1 Update to the schedule for lifting the delivery freeze for EMEA
The delivery freeze for the following products, BIS00ZC and BIS011P, has been lifted from December 2025.
Reasons for the temporary delivery ban
On August 1, 2025, new requirements of the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) came into force in the European Union. This directive stipulates that products with radio technologies, including some of our BIS devices, must meet additional requirements for IT security and cyber resilience. The aim is to further increase the security and reliability of networked devices in the European market.
We are currently working intensively to review the impact of the directive on these BIS products. Until the affected devices have been finally reviewed on a case-by-case basis, we are currently unable to market these devices in the European market.
This review and approval process is in full swing and has been completed for the first devices.
Description of the Change
Products from the reference list for non-EU markets are supplied without the CE logo on the device, packaging, data sheet and manual.
Customer Impact and Recommended Actions
Extended delivery times for customers in EU markets. The affected products are listed in the attached reference list.
The requirements for use in non-EU markets have not changed. These products are still available for these markets. However, they will not be CE markeduntil the investigation has been completed.
We understand that this measure is inconvenient, but we ask for your understanding at this point, as the directive gives us clear guidelines for placing products on the market in the European Economic Area.
