What is the conversion from AWG to mm²?

AWG stands for American Wire Gauge and is directly linked to the diameter of a cable. You can use this diameter to calculate the cross-section of the cable. Basically, you convert AWG to mm². Here you will find a simple conversion table with frequently used cross-sections:
