The magnetic tapes from Balluff form a reliable basis for precise linear but also rotary measuring tasks. They are ideal for applications with short and long travel distances or large radii and, thanks to their flexible geometry, offer easy integration into a wide variety of machine concepts. Depending on the requirements, both incremental and absolute coded variants are available, which enable highly accurate and contactless position and speed measurements.
Thanks to the proven Permagnet® technology, the magnetic tapes offer consistently high signal quality and measurement accuracy over their entire service life. In combination with the matching magnetic tape sensors from Balluff, powerful measuring systems are created that work reliably even in harsh industrial environments.
The magnetic tapes can be integrated to save space and are available in a wide range of lengths. For harsh applications, the elastomer can be mechanically protected using a cover strip. This makes them ideal for demanding motion control applications such as drive and automation technology, handling systems, machine tools or mechanical engineering components of all kinds.
