LF 125 kHz RFID system (BIS L)
The answer for easy identification tasks

Our low-frequency RFID system (BIS L) is suitable for applications that involve simple "license plate" identification.
For example, often only a (read-only) code is required for backtracing. The 125-kHz system is capable of reading data up to 100 mm away and performs well in an environment of liquid and metal.
Key benefits
- Memory of the data carrier limited to 192 bytes
- For the transmission of small volumes of data
- Well-structured product range of data carriers
- For use in less harsh environmental conditions
- Unique ID with 5 bytes, read-only
- Read-only data carriers available (protection against manipulation)

RFID LF-Tags (125 kHz)
- Round LF tags in various sizes: Ø 12.4 mm, Ø 20 mm, Ø 30 mm, Ø 50 mm
- Chemically resistant glass tag in 13 × 3 mm
- Read-only tags (3 or 5 bytes) or read/write with 192 bytes
- Mounting options: glue or screws
- Two variants of the read-only tag available: with a fixed 5-byte unique ID or with programming of 3 bytes of individual data according to customer specifications

RFID LF-Reader (125 kHz)
- Robust housing with IP67 protection ensures reliable use in harsh environments
- Range depends on the combination of reader and tag used (see data sheet of the respective reader)
- Connection via M12 plug connector, cable length up to 50 m
- Flat designs available
- Available interfaces with integrated reader: Parallel and serial (RS232, RS422)
- Status displays for integrated readers directly on the reader housing simplify commissioning and minimize downtimes

RFID LF-Processors (125 kHz)
- Excellent EMC thanks to the robust zinc die-cast housing
- All connections are easily accessible from the front
- Variable mounting configuration for easy installation on top-hat rails or profiles
- LCD display and push buttons for easy commissioning
- Each reader signals its operating status via two LEDs directly on the processor unit
- Integrated IO-Link master port for connecting IO-Link-capable sensors and actuators
- Web server for convenient remote status monitoring
- Function modules from many common control system manufacturers make for quick integration
- Integrated 2-port Ethernet switch for line and ring topology
- Small and compact (172 × 48 × 62 mm)
- USB interface for fast commissioning without bus connection
- BIS Cockpit: Reader can be parameterized independently of the interface using a PC-based software tool
- Power supply via robust 7/8” plug for harsh industrial environments
