Magnetic rings - also known as magnetic disks - are magnetic encoders that have been specially developed for absolute rotary angle measurement in drive systems. The ring encoder systems are preferably used in motors, gearboxes and generally in rotary drive systems. They are used, for example, to determine the exact position of joints and axes in humanoid, collaborative or other robot systems.
Thanks to their compact design, they enable high-resolution angle measurement directly on the motor and form a particularly space-saving and powerful measuring system that is fully compatible with the iC-MU series. The axial ring magnets are available in various diameters and thicknesses. Customer-specific versions can be realized on request to ensure optimum integration options for individual applications.
Thanks to their robust magnetic vernier coding and Permagnet® technology, they guarantee durable, stable and precise angle measurement even under demanding environmental conditions. This makes them a central component of dynamic motion control solutions.
The special features
- Compact, space-saving design for integration directly on the motor
- Compatible with the iC-MU series
